![]() ![]() As many as twenty Native American encampments were located throughout the township. During this time, the area was a village called Tetamekon. Before the European's settled in the area, it was home to the Lenni Lenape Native American Indian tribes. Grenloch Terrace is the township's oldest community and is located in the northeastern corner along Grenloch Lake. The town consists of 13,792 acres, of which 128 acres are water, such as Kandle Lake, Bells Lake, and Grenlock Lake. The main roadways in the neighborhood include Greentree Road, Egg Harbor Road, Hurffville-Cross Keys Road, and the Atlantic City Expressway that travels along the eastern edge. Pitman and Sewell are the neighboring towns to the west of the township. The township is located in the eastern section of Gloucester County in the state of New Jersey.
